Does your lifestyle accommodate interruptions? Unannounced visits? Casual chats with neighbors? If not, why not? Is there pride at work there, that considers your own time as more important than others? Are you impatient with your children? Are you irritable when you have to deal with inefficiency? Is your schedule inflexible and your communication abrasive? An idolatrous need to control our time and circumstances can blind us to what our Lord is actually doing in our context. He speaks to us from Luke 10:41-42: You are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Choose the good portion, which will not be taken from you.
