LIFE GROUPS

JOIN A LIFE GROUP!

Acts chapter 2 describes the first Christians in Jerusalem as meeting both in the temple and in homes, devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayer. They met each other’s needs and worshipped with glad and generous hearts. The quality of their life together was such that God was magnified and outsiders were consistently folded into the family of faith.

We at CTK long to trust God in similar ways through intentional community that is driven by Scripture, prayer, humility, and openness. Hebrews 3:13-14 tells us to “exhort one another every day, as long as it is called ‘today,’ that none of you may be hardened by sin,” and so that instead we may hold our original confidence in Christ firm to the end. Life Groups serve as a venue for this sort of life-giving interchange—a place for us to live out and grow in our Lord’s “one-another” desires for His church (e.g., John 13:12-15, 34-35, Romans 13:8-15:7, Ephesians 4:25-5:21, Colossians 3:12-17).
